55+ Fitness Class

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 8:15 am
$6 per session (discount packages available)
Exercise classes for the active Baby Boomers! You can improve your aerobic power, lower body endurance, strength, flexibility and balance. It's a fitness class that feels like a party!

Chair Fitness

Wednesdays beginning March 14, 10 a.m., $6
Do you want to stay fit, or increase your fitness level, but need the stability of a chair? This fun class is for you! Enjoy some great exercise, fun music, and a community of support.

Senior Tai Chi

This program is canceled due to lack of interest. If you are interested in getting Tai Chi started at Southshore Center, please contact the director at 952.960.7902.

Spring Garden Fair

Saturday, March 10, 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
$25 includes speakers, vendor fair, gift bag, and lunch

The 8th annual garden fair is for gardeners of all ages and abilities. Enjoy great speakers and share ideas and experiences with local gardeners. Get the complete schedule.

Weekly Quilt Group

Every Tuesday, 1 pm, No registration necessary
Bring beads for group beading if you have experience! Come and learn and use our beads if you have little or no beading experience! This social beading experience is fun and there is plenty of room to spread out and design. For more information contact Linda at 952.475.1430.

Driver Improvement Program

Senior Partners Memberships

Those 55 and over may support community programming and the community center with a membership to Southshore Senior Partners. Membership options: $25 for single $40 for dual. Any age may offer support with advanced giving levels: $50 supporting level; $100 sustaining member. Members get a newsletter, reduced price lunches, discounts on some classes and trips. Minnesota Highways and Byways

Thursday, March 22, 10:30 a.m.
Join author and photographer Doug Ohman as he shares his favorite Minnesota locations. An Anoka native, Dough graduated from University of Minnesota in history and geography and become the director of operations for Camp Snoopy at MOA. He now makes a living through historical and landscape photography, traveling many miles each year to document his favorite subjects. RSVP for this free program, 952.474.7635.

Wolves, Coyotes and Foxes with Stan Tekiela

Thursday, April 26, 11 a.m.
Author and wildlife expert Stan Tekeila returns to Southshore Center to present a fascinating look at some of our most intriguing wild animals, based on his book The Lives of Wolves, Coyotes and Foxes.
