55+ Fitness Class

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 8:15 am
$6 per session (discount packages available)
Exercise classes for the active Baby Boomers! You can improve your aerobic power, lower body endurance, strength, flexibility and balance. It's a fitness class that feels like a party!

Senior Tai Chi

Mondays, $48 for 6 sessions
Instructor Ron Erdman-Luntz has been teaching seniors Tai Chi for over 35 years. Studies show that Tai Chi enhances the quality of life for seniors by improving balance, gracing us greater ease of movement and range of motion, and reducing stress. Give it a try! Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 pm, $5 per session (drop-ins welcome) Last class for season June 28.
If you love dancing and having fun, you will love Zumba! Our certified Zumba instructor will show you the dances step by step and offer low or high impact modifications to make your workout your own! Minimum of 5/maximum of 20, so please RSVP your attendance when possible, 952.474.7635.

In this creative writing class, instructor Danny Evans, will provide different topics to write about as he teaches how to wrtie them in different formats: poetry, short stoires, memoir and more! Paper and pen will be provided. Wether you are a beginner or have been published, come and enjoy being around other like-minded writers.

Weekly Quilt Group

Every Tuesday, 1 pm, No registration necessary

Third Mondays by appointment
Enjoy a foot massage & foot care with ‘Happy Feet’! Happy Feet is featured at the Southshore Community Center the third Monday of each month. Call 763-560-5136 for an appointment.

Senior Partners Memberships

Those 55 and over may support community programming and the community center with a membership to Southshore Senior Partners. Membership options: $25 for single $40 for dual. Any age may offer support with advanced giving levels: $50 supporting level; $100 sustaining member. Members get a newsletter, reduced price lunches, discounts on some classes and trips. In conversation with TED Curator Chris Anderson, he describes the patterns of thinking and historical causes that have led to such sharp divisions in America — and provides a vision for how the country might move forward.
